Draft — awaiting legal review
This document is a working draft prepared from standard industry practice. It has not been reviewed by a qualified legal adviser, and parts of it record decisions IC Advertisers Pvt. Ltd. has yet to confirm. Please do not rely on it as a statement of your rights or ours. If something here matters to a decision you are making, ask us and we will answer plainly.
This notice is issued by IC Advertisers Pvt. Ltd., an advertising, printing and signage business in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir. Where this notice says “we”, “us” or “our”, it means that business.
It covers this public website only — the pages anyone can read, and the enquiry form on them. It does not cover the separate system our staff sign in to, information you give us in person, over the telephone, or on WhatsApp, or anything you send to a third-party service we happen to link to.
There are two forms on this website and they are the only places it asks you for anything: the message form on our contact page, and the quotation request. Nothing else on the site collects information about you.
Both ask for:
The quotation request additionally asks for the following, all of them optional:
We only ever receive what you type and what you attach. There is no hidden field that collects anything about you.
When you submit the form, two further things are recorded alongside your message.
Your device’s network address is turned into a fixed, non-reversible token the moment your submission arrives, and the address itself is discarded and never stored. What we keep is a keyed cryptographic hash of it. It is not a bare digest: it is computed with a secret held on our server, because an unkeyed hash of an IP address can be reversed by brute force and would not be anonymous at all.
We keep it for one purpose — abuse detection. It lets us see that fifty submissions came from a single source, and to rate-limit that source, without our records containing anybody’s address. It cannot be used to locate you, and it is of no use to anyone who obtains the records without also holding the server’s secret.
We record the path of the page the enquiry came from — for example /contact. It tells us which page prompted the enquiry. Nothing else about your visit is recorded: not the pages you read, not where you arrived from, not what browser or device you used.
The form carries two automated checks — a decoy field that a person never sees and never fills in, and a measurement of how long the form was open before it was sent. They are used once, to decide whether a submission was typed by a person or by a bot, and are not stored. A submission judged automated is discarded rather than saved; we record only that one was discarded, and never its contents.
This is not a list of things we promise never to do — it is a description of how the site is built today. If any of it changes, this page changes with it.
We use what you send us to:
You give us this information voluntarily, for the purpose you sent it for. We do not use it for anything else, and we do not send you marketing you did not ask for.
to be confirmed: Confirm the lawful basis and the consent notice wording required by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 with an adviser.
Several places on this site take you off it — the WhatsApp button, the telephone and email links, the “open in Google Maps” link, and our social media profiles.
Following one of those hands you over to a service we do not run. WhatsApp in particular is operated by Meta, and a conversation you start there is governed by Meta’s privacy terms as well as ours. We see the message you send us; we do not control what the platform itself records. The same applies to your telephone or email provider.
Nothing on our pages contacts any of these services until you click. We are not responsible for their practices, and you should read their notices if that matters to you.
An enquiry that becomes a job stays with the record of that job, because a quotation, an order and an invoice have to be traceable to the request behind them, and tax records must be retained for a statutory period.
An enquiry that does not become a job is kept for to be confirmed: a retention period the owner has yet to set, after which it is removed.
Records in our system are first marked as deleted and then removed; a record marked deleted is no longer used or shown to staff.
No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise. What we do:
You can ask us to:
Ask by telephone or email using the details at the end of this page. We will need to be reasonably satisfied that you are who you say you are before we act — which usually means answering from the number or address the enquiry came from.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle a request, tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the relevant data protection authority.
to be confirmed: Name the grievance officer or contact point required under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, and give a response time.
This website is aimed at businesses and adults commissioning work. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us something, tell us and we will remove it.
We update this notice when the website changes. The date at the top tells you when the wording below last changed. Where a change materially affects how we handle what you have already sent us, we will say so rather than rely on the date alone.
